YEAHHH EMMY BITCH!

This is probably my favorite picture out of last night’s Emmys. It’s Giancarlo Esposito giving a tearful Aaron Paul a standing round of applause after he beat him out for the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama statue.

It’s great news because I love Paul and his performance on the show. But it’s a mixed feeling for Breaking Bad fans however as Giancarlo Esposito turned in one HELL of a performance last season as Gus, and (spoilers) he won’t be around to have another shot at it. Aaron Paul, of course, still has two more seasons to be nominated and win (and he should).

Here’s the full list of Emmy winners. I can’t say I’m as enamored with Homeland as everybody else, but I do think Damian Lewis did a hell of a job on that show.

  1. I don’t know if you’ve seen this Paul, and I didn’t know where else to put it, but here is a picture of Flanders doing his impression of the “I am the danger speach”: http://lolsnaps.com/news/35982/0/

On a side note, I thought that Giancarlo deserved the role, the reasons being that I have seen his interviews outside of the Breaking Bad set, and he is absolutely nothing like Gus. Whether this is where the true acting was, I don’t know but Giancarlo seemed like a sweethearted, warm, almost fatherly figure. Needless to say, Gus would probably have Giancarlo killed with out hesitation.

My point is that Paul, although a fantastic actor (and really one of the best actors period), is a lot like his character. They both have the same nuances: Both become very active when excited or they both have a seeming inability to look certain people in the eyes at time. Just something I noticed
