10 Cool Sunglasses Characters From Movies

In the history of cinema there aren’t too many movies that have characters who wear sunglasses for nearly the whole picture.  And put it this way, the sunglasses aren’t necessarily a centralized component to the character.  However, there are certainly some movies that have this element to the story.

And there’s just something more badass about sunglasses isn’t there?  Whether it’s just adding a certain coolness to someone or even something completely annoying, here are 10 cool sunglasses characters from movies

Blade – Blade Movies

He just wouldn’t be the same without those glasses would he?  There’s something badass about the fact there’s the combination of those fangs and glasses.  It might possibly also be the fact that he absolutely pwns sh*t.

Agent Smith – The Matrix Movies

Well I’d have to say this guy is more annoying than anything.  OK, I get the whole “Mr Anderson” thing.  Relax buddy!  Still though, being able to clone yourself 1000 times over is a hell of a skill.  I would have put Neo in here but come on.  This dude is way better.

The Terminator – Terminator

One of the original badass characters with sunglasses.  Unfortunately the character became a bit more commercial in Terminator 2, however I’ll always remember the 1984 Cyborg as being a total badass.

Marion Cobretti – Cobra

I would say the scale of unintentional comedy from the movie Cobra is off the charts.  However, you can deny that Stallone with aviators and a scruffy beard make for a cool character.  That and the movie poster was awesome.  Just him, the shades and an unused match in his mouth.

Gustafson – Teen Wolf Too

Definitely the funniest character on this list.   Gustafson was the “bad guy” in Teen Wolf Too.  He played a rival boxer from another college who always wore sunglasses when entering the ring.  Pretty ridiculous.

Agent K or Jay – Men in Black

Either one of these guys works for me.

Rufus – Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

I still have a hard time getting over the fact that Rufus was played by George Carlin.  Maybe it was the brown hair, or that it’s just impossible imagining the stand up George Carlin being this guy.  It was between him and Clarence Williams for this spot.  Rufus was more of a featured character though.

Leon – The Professional

Guy sleeps with sunglasses sitting in a chair.  Enough said.

Jake or Elwood Blues – Blues Brothers

Couldn’t leave these guys out!

Ivan – The Machinest

At Trevor’s job he has a co-worker named Ivan. Ivan seems to drift in and out of the movie, and, more to the point, in and out of Trevor’s consciousness. It’s clear that something doesn’t quite add up with Ivan.  It is believed that Ivan holds the key to Trevor’s psychosis.
