The League of Legends World Championship Gets Animated

So I’m weirdly into eSports the way most people are into actual sports, which is why I will be staying up until probably 6AM Friday night (Saturday morning) to watch the world finals of the League of Legends championship where first place gets a MILLION DOLLARS. Like, holy crap.

Riot Games has devoted a crap ton of resources into the event, like renting out the entire Staples Center for one, but also making videos like this one. It’s an anime that shows pro players transforming into their favorite champions, and the reason it’s so well done is because Legend of Korra’s Studio Mir actually worked on it with Riot.

If you don’t know anything about the game or the scene, it won’t make much sense, but if you do? It’s probably the coolest thing you’ll watch all year.
