This Week In Movie Trailers!
The San Diego Comic Con is in full swing and while it’s not producing tons of trailers per say, this week has given us better trailers than the week prior. Also today was a HUGE day for the women out there, my wife included. I won’t delay you any further …
Let’s do this.
Hot Tub Time Machine 2
No, I’m not kidding … this is actually happening. I know, I’m as surprised as you are. Make note that John Cusack opted out this time around. (Will I see this? – rental, if I’m drunk)
50 Shades of Grey
I’m not going to lie, this is a well cut trailer. Add in the excellent remix of Beyonce’s song and as far as trailers go, it makes me want to see a movie I clearly don’t have any business seeing. I’m sure that on Valentine’s day my own wife will be ditching me to go see this. (Will I see this? – rental)
Whiplash

Interesting … by the title alone this is not what I was anticipating. Though, with that said, J.K. Simmons looks like he turns in a stellar performance and I bet that Miles Teller (aka Mr. Fantastic) does a fantastic job too. (Will I see this? – maybe)
The November Man
Can you say typecast? Poor Pierce Brosnan can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to movies. Outside of Mama Mia is there anything he’s done where he doesn’t wield a gun? All kidding aside, it doesn’t look half bad. (Will I see this? – rental)
Nightcrawler
No, it’s not the awesome mutant from X-Men, I know I was disappointed too. Is anyone else amazed at how insane Jake Gyllenhaal appears? His character must really enjoy the news. Love the intense build up with the quote “You have to make the money to buy a ticket…” (Will I see this? – maybe)
If I Stay
This is a prime example of the trailer showing the entire movie causing me to not have to see it at all. Which is fine on this one. Though when they started to use the A Great Big World song – “Say Something” … it did try and reel me in. I’m a hopeless romantic, sorry. (Will I see this? – nope)
Dear White People
I get that it’s a satire … I do, but come on. Ya know what, I’m not even going to go there for the sake of argument – and that’s rare for me to do. (Will I see this? – rental…maybe)
The Imitation Game
While the story looks interesting, and I’m becoming quite the fan of Cumberbatch … it still doesn’t convince me to spend $10+ to see it in theaters. (Will I see this? – rental)
Yikes, well that’s it for this week. Not a single film that I’m willing to go see in the actual movie theater. That’s sad. Anyone want to send me $10 to my paypal to allow me to go see one of these movies then I’d be more than happy to – please send payment to lucastetrault@gmail.com … (I’ll make a special call out to you on the site if you do!) *chuckles to himself because no one is going to pay for me to see one of these.

do you actually like movies?
Yep – love movies. Watch a lot more at home lately because I’ve got a kid and it’s hard to justify going to the theater to see one.
fair enough i was just curious because a couple of these moves look great
