The Theatrical Trailers to Every Pixar Film

Started in 1979 as the Graphics Group, Pixar has become the gold standard for all animated films.  Pixar films have a certain depth that other animated features lack, and just about every summer, we have a great movie to look forward to.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when it comes to quality, Pixar just blows Dreamworks out of the water.  Even though they’re animated, Pixar movies aren’t just for kids; Up was one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.  I’m at the point where I’d be willing to see any movie made by Pixar.  I’m yet to be disappointed (although Cars was sort of meh, I guess).

Anyhow, it’s always fun to go back and look at the theatrical trailers for a movie after that movie has been released.  A good trailer should give the audience a good idea of what the movie is about, as well as conveying what the movie’s tone will be, all without giving too much away.  For the most part, I think the Pixar trailers do that.  After the jump, take a look at the theatrical trailers for every Pixar movie to date, presented in chronological order.  It’s pretty amazing how much the animation has improved through the years, as you can see from the trailers.
