John “Pa Kent/Bo Duke” Schneider, and the Story Behind This Photo
I realize this is going to be far too early on a Monday morning for something this intense, but I saw this on Saturday and it stayed with me all through the weekend. The older of you will remember John Schneider as one of the Duke boys from Dukes of Hazard. I remember him as Jonathan Kent on Smallville for a good number of years, one of TV’s best fathers.
Anyway, there’s a rather heartbreaking story behind this rather heartbreaking photo, and it’s best told by the photographer himself. It was part of a promo shoot for a new Tyler Perry show on Oprah’s network, but though the shoot started out jovial, it didn’t end as such.
