Evolution of the Croft

One character, thirteen iterations and counting. It’s taken nearly two decades, but now Lara Croft has finally evolved into…

…wearing pants. Well, except for her awkward blue camo phase. And sort of her weird, Matrix-esque bodysuit phase.

In this collage by Pedro Croft (big fan, obviously), he shows how the character has evolved from polygonal crush to the star of the recent Tomb Raider reboot which was miles better than anyone thought it would be. Croft is a legend of the gaming industry, right alongside Mario and Master Chief, and she’ll likely be around for at least another decade or more.

Seriously, the reboot really was good, you should try it if you haven’t yet.
