Deadpool Covers are Covers of Covers

Marvel illustrator Arthur Suydam decided to do something special for the Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth series that ran last year. Each issue was a cover of a famous movie poster, putting Deadpool in a variety of classic set-ups.

I’m not sure what the series was about, but from what I can gather, zombies were involved, judging by the severed zombie head in practically every cover.

Can you identify all the homages below? I can’t, so give me a list in the comments.

  3. Since the above post is perfectly correct, I don’t need to comment on which movies each issue represents, but I wanted to comment because…well…I’m the biggest Deadpool fan in the world and wanted to share what the series is about, seeing as Paul mentioned he didn’t know. The “Merc with the Mouth” series (to make a long story short) is about Deadpool being hired to recover a bio-weapon in the Savage Land. When he gets there, it turns out the weapon is actually his zombified head from the Marvel Zombie universe. The issues focus on Deadpool trying to get his head back to its universe and away from AIM. That’s the shortest way I can explain. If you really want to see some cool art, you should see my arms and back, pure Deadpool ;).

  4. I just wanna add that if there is any movie or tv-series of Deadpool… that they need to sign on Fabian Nicieza as the writer.
Let’s turn this into a mini-debate of the day. Who do you think should write/produce a Deadpool tv-series or movie?
