Crappy Must See Movie Recommendation of the Week: Bloodsport
I almost feel like I don’t even need to get into an explanation here. However, I will say that many of you readers of this site might have been too little when this movie came out to have seen it. Sure it’s on TBS like 8 times a month but something tells me there’s a large chunk of you that haven’t seen this film.
Let’s get into ten reasons you must immediately get Bloodsport on DVD if you haven’t already:
1. Jean Claude Van Damme – That’s reason enough
2. “OK USA!”
3. Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds is the Co-Star
4. There’s a scene where Van Damme screams in a way that will make you laugh for days.
5. The Soundtrack is oozing with 80s greatness.
6. Chong Li
7. Forest Whitaker is in this movie. Yup.
8. The video game “Karate Champ” is featured in this film.
9. “What the hell is a Dimak?”
10. The little monkey guy
Trailer is below
Who the hell doesn’t want to see this?
Great soundtrack to work out to.
This movie is bad, but epic. JCVD refined it later on and called it The Quest, but I like the cheesyness of this movie WAAAAAYYYYY more.

Kumite! Kumite! Kumite!
For any martial artists this is ONE of the must sees. Yes it’s bad but it’s also fantastic! Another great one…Berry Gordy’s the Last Dragon. You want to talk about soundtrack greatness? The Glow and Last Dragon.
Cause you got that glow! Great song.
It’s also a precursor to Street Fighter and MMA, for all that’s worth.
“It’s the American shit head who does tricks with bricks.”
“You are nex!”
“Very good, but brick not hit back.”
“You broke my record, now i break you, like i break your friend.”
“You Jackson? You look like a Jackson.”
I can quote Bloodsport all day. It’s a fantastic 80’s cheese movie.

I’m sure everyone has seen this by now, but it’s still good.
I can’t believe some people have still not watched it…
I watched it in the early 90s so I guess at this time it was not that bad…
This still is one of my favorite JCVD film as of today
love this movie, seen it a bunch of times, it never gets old for me
Bloodsport is amazing…JCVD was the man for a while.
There are people that didnt watched this? Oh the humanity
Cheesy, but I’m not sure about crappy.

This must-see reason got me laughing for quite a bit. Looking forward to next week’s selection.
