The Most Terrifying Wax Museum in Existence
When I was a kid, I went to Paris and visited Madame Tussad’s Wax Museum in the city. Yes, there’s a section of celebrity lookalikes and what not, but there’s another section that’s pretty much the medieval inquisition. People are dismembered and tortured and strapped to spiky wheels or thrown into iron maidens. It was more or less the most terrifying thing that I thought wax could ever produce.
Until now.
This is Wing Kong’s photo documentary of the Hollywood Wax Museum in California that features such bad statues that I wish it was simply people getting tortured instead. It’s hilarious not only for how bad the statues are, and how the faces will haunt your dreams forever, but also for which movie roles they picked to highlight for the actors and actresses in question. Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing, Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories, Daniel Craig in Cowboys and Aliens, and so on.

My best guess is that one of the Charlie’s Angels girls is what they’re going to look like once the Botox goes bad.
Madame Tussa(u)ds in Paris? A long, long time ago… 😉
I live not far from this museum, and whenever people come to town and ask where’s the crappiest place to go, I mention the Hollywood Wax Museum. We have a lot of true crap here, but this place takes the crap cake. I just don’t know how it stays open. Maybe just because it’s right in the middle of tourist trap Hollywood and people just don’t know any better.
