Pitch Perfect 2 Headlines This Week’s Trailers
It’s been a month since our daughter was born and the wife and I are finally breaking out of the house and going to go see a movie! WOO HOO! *whistles the Hunger Games theme out loud to celebrate* … Yes, that’s right, I’m going to go see the Hunger Games finale part 1. I was upset with the first film for falling flat and not delivering on what my hopes were. (as every film obviously needs to pander to me of course) Katniss’ second outing was far better and a lot more entertaining than I was anticipating due to how the first film left me. Now were on the verge of attacking the Capitol and I feel that the cliff hanger of part 1 will leave us either at the mountain or after it’s been taken down. Regardless, I’m holding out hope that they can finish this trilogy (do we still consider it a trilogy?) in grand fashion and give the fans of the books a decent send off. Stay tuned for the review!
It’ll be interesting to see what trailers might be shown in front of the movie tonight.
Let’s do this.
The Wedding Ringer (red band trailer)
All comedies that are on this level should have red band trailers released. If anything this trailer entices me to want to see it more so than the original. (Will I see this? – maybe)
Pitch Perfect 2
I would have never thought that Anna Kendrick could sing – that cups song is actually decent! Nevertheless Pitch Perfect was not for me, I didn’t find it funny and was only mildly entertained by the singing. Let’s hope the 2nd outing will fare better. (Will I see this? – maybe)
The Age of Adaline
Blake Lively in a serious role … what?! I don’t know, this all seems a bit far fetched. What is it with romance movies and suspending time in some fashion? (Will I see this? – nope)
Loitering With Intent
Seems interesting but at the same time it seems like something absolutely no one will go see in theaters. (Will I see this? – nope)
Danny Collins
What’s happened to Al Pacino lately? I’m not saying that this isn’t going to be any good, but this is the same guy who was the Godfather for crying out loud. He can’t seriously be that strapped for cash nowadays? (Will I see this? – nope)
Son of a Gun (official trailer)
I just can’t picture Ewan as a “tough” guy … heck I had a hard enough time with him as Obi Wan. Sigh, I’ll have to pass this one up unless something super positive is said about it on the interwebs. (Will I see this? – nope)
Cinderella
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no. I’m so glad my little girl isn’t old enough to drag me to one of these films yet. The casting looks awful for, well, pretty much the entire cast. Especially Cinderella – OY! Disney, why are you doing this with you live action movies? (Will I see this? – nope)
Peanuts (official trailer)
This might be a true treasure to behold…I’m going to hold out what slight hope I have for it and just wish for the best. (they’re pushing the “3D” aspect of it a bit hard which is odd, considering the view is the normal profile angle we typically get with Charlie Brown) (Will I see this? – maybe)
Project Almanac
Ok, I’m hooked after “hey that’s me at my 7th birthday in the mirror”… I’m thinking it’ll fall somewhere between Jumper, Echo and Chronicle. (Will I see this? – maybe)
Miss Julie
I’m looking forward to seeing what Colin Ferrel can do in the next True Detective. I couldn’t care less about the movies he’s putting out though. (Will I see this? – nope)
The Duff
Could it be that we’ve got a movie that can be paired with Mean Girls? (yes, I liked and still like Mean Girls) I’ll admit, the cliche’ things they point out are definitely talked about within high school and college crowds. (Will I see this? – maybe)
The Color of Time
You know how to piss me off, be about as ambiguous as you can be with a movie trailer! That’s what they’ve done here and now this movie, despite having some great talent in it, is dead to me. (Will I see this? – nope)
Seventh Son
So what’s taking so long for this movie to get into theaters? It certainly can’t be the CGI and special effects because the trailer looks awful. I’ve heard that the book is good though – so maybe there’s a light at the end of this tunnel? (probably not) (Will I see this? – rental)
What do you guys think about this week’s trailers? Any of them peak your interest? Sound off in the comments below. Yeah, I actually want to hear from you. Any trailers I might’ve missed? Take care and enjoy your movie filled weekend … er week!

Hey guys & gals, my name is Lucas Tetrault and if you like this post or any of the others I’ve written – please feel free to venture over to my Blog and take a gander at some other stuff I write about. Heck, you can follow me on Twitter if you want. I promise I don’t intend to waste your time.
I work as a Creative Director and spend time away from my job with my family, writing for Unreality, and trying to be creative with my own personal projects.
Lucas, I’m a fan of your trailer round-ups but for the love of god the phrase is “COULDN’T care less”.
My apologies, sometimes my editor lets things slip through the cracks. 😉 I’ve corrected said mistake. Thanks for looking out…some posts are written in haste.
Yeah sure it was. I know it was a deliberate error made to upset the pedants 😉
Nah, I singled you out just for that one.
I think the original phrase was “I could care less, and I do” which doesn’t make any sense, but the shortened version should definitely be ‘couldn’t’.
I haven’t seen Echo, but I loved Jumper and (especially) Chronicle. The only think that makes me hesitant to watch Project Almanac is that it’s produced by Michael Bay.
I try and not let the “producers” to sway my decision on whether or not I should see a film. I’ll admit that it does give me caution all the same.
