Old Spice’s Isaiah Musafa Wants to Be Our Luke Cage
News broke yesterday that Marvel is planning four new Netflix-exclusive shows based around Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. The last one has been talked about as a possible feature film for years now, but it seems he’ll be brought to life on the small screen instead.
Most people’s minds probably immediately turned to Michael Jai White for the role, but he’s not the only contender. Old Spice commercial actor, you know, on-a-horse towel guy, Isaiah Musafa actually filmed his own Luke Cage teaser a few years back in the hopes that some studio exec might see it and want to hand him the part.
Good effort, and I particularly like the eye-glowing, but I had to pick anyone for the part? It would be Terry Crews, though I think he’s pretty busy across at least two different TV shows at present. Funnily enough, he’s another face (and biceps, and abs, and pecs) of Old Spice. They like their muscular black men.
