If Fantasy Mirrors were Real: Dreams vs. Reality Pictures

Dreams and Reality

For any of you who’ve seen Harry Potter (and I hope to assume most of you have) you might be familiar with the Mirror of Erised.

On it is inscribed, erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi — which, when reversed and correctly spaced, reads I show not your face but your heart’s desire. Harry, upon encountering the Mirror, can see his parents, as well as what appears to be a crowd of relatives.

Sometimes when we look in the mirror we either can see what we wish or perhaps as in Neverending Story, we can see who we really are.  Whichever the case, I found some amazing pictures where people photoshopped this very concept.

Here is a gallery of  dreams vs. reality photos

  1. These are so cliche it hurts. The only way these could be worse is if they were scanned onto collector’s plates and sold and WalMart. I’m pretty sick of gushing, ignorant patriotism spewing out everywhere like that. And yes, I was in the Army.
