I Continue to Not Understand Hello Kitty

Once upon a time, I wrote a post about all the things that Hello Kitty has infested over the years with its pink sugary goodness. I’m just perplexed at how a character can be a cultural icon without originating from any kind of movie or show.

This series of Hello Kitty figures confuses me even further, as I’m not sure why a talent (male) artist would devote himself to such a task. Though I have to say these are extremely well done, which is why I’m featuring them here.
