No, I have no idea what would inspire someone to take a bunch of famous characters and give them beards. But at this point in my life, I’ve just learned to accept all the ridiculous shit I find on the internet and not ask too many questions.
It’s a series by DeviantArtist Vanjamrgan, and you can shoot him a message if you want to figure out the mystery, but I’m guessing it just comes down to “beards are cool.” And they are. I can’t grow an effective one, but whatever.

Several of them actually make more sense than their beardless versions. Like Wario. Green Lantern and HeMan seem more badass this way.
Clint kind of did have a beard in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Mostly just stubble though.
And I’m pretty sure the header pic is some kind of reference to Dr. McNinja. Anyone who’s read the webcomic knows what I’m talking about.
Beard Grinch is a bad mofo. And maybe it’s just the juxtaposition to Popeye, but Wario reminds me of Bluto. And Meva is right, the beard offsets his goofy mustache and would make his nose look better if the picture were color.
