An Amazing Gallery of Video Game Demakes

pixel_art6.jpg

This series of incredible video game “demakes” is from artist Junkboy over at WayofthePixel. A “demake,” in case you haven’t guessed, is a rendering of a current game if it were made on an older console. In this case usually something like Genesis, SNES, NES or Game Boy.

The results are pretty stunning, and there’s a whole gallery of these, in addition to Resident Evil 5 here above, that you can view below. I’ve figured out what most of the titles being demade are here, but I’ve missed a few and I’ll need your help to figure out the rest.

Also, Smash Bros retro would have been so awesome!
Thats something they could easily bring out for the DS.
    But I’ll keep dreaming…

  3. That Super Smash Bros image is from an actual flash game. It been a while since i have played it, but i think it was on Newgrounds. It was pretty fun. I have to find it again.

So, I want to told you, that in the ex_USSR in the 90’s the 90% of computers were ZX Spectrum 128 clones.
As from 1993 the official support of ZX Spectrum ‘platform’ was stopped, crazy Russians made amazing demakes for ZX128 from Amiga and PC (amazing means, respecting the capatibilities of the machine.)
