There are few things I truly miss in life. One is my cat Goldie who died when I was twelve of an enlarged heart. The second is Bill Knapp’s restaurant which went out of business and had the best chicken noodle soup I’ve had or will ever have.
The third is Calvin and Hobbes, a comic strip I loved as a kid, but appreciated even more as an adult once I started getting most of the deeper jokes and thoughts in it.
But Bill Watterson wanted to go out on top, and so he pulled a Seinfeld and ended the strip when it was still insanely popular. All we have left are the old comics, but there’s plenty of joy to be found in those to this day.
This wallpaper collection I found over at Hoyso, but the site appears to be down. I managed to locate the images by themselves, and I’ve posted them below so you can pick and choose which you might like to express your love for the comic. My pick is the one above, but there are a bunch of great ones to choose from here.
