White House Rejects Petition to Build a Death Star
For a while now, the White House has had a site where you can make a petition, and if it gets 20,000 signatures, you’ll get an official response no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT.
As such, many have tried to propose ridiculous things like say, petitioning the government to build a fully functional Death Star. With 34,000 signatures, they did indeed have to say something, and they did. Unfortunately, it’s bad news.
- The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We’re working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.
- The Administration does not support blowing up planets.
- Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?
Fair enough, White House. Can’t really argue with that. They do say that we have the International Space Station which is just as good, but that’s like asking for a Ferrari and getting a Hot Wheels Car.

Should’ve started smaller, maybe a fleet of AT-ATs or couple of AT-STs
I wonder what kind of Death Star could we have got if the government had unlimited resources. Kinda sad that we can rebuild him, we have the technology but we are six million dollars short.
