Valve Releases “Meet the Pyro” at Last

Over the past few years, Valve has been pumping out a “Meet the ______” series of videos that tells us about each of its various TF2 characters. As they never like to do things in a timely manner, Meet the Pyro has been on deck for what seems like eons, but as of yesterday, it’s finally be released.
As it turns out, the Pyro sees the world different than you or I, but stranger still, the entire idea of the video appears to come from a creepy 4chan post as old as 2009. Watch the video, then read this:
“Look how happy they all are when I point my happy gun at them! They dance around and yell, having the time of their life! Oh, how I love making people happy!
It’s been six years now since they let me out of that scary place. I lived there all my life until the nice doctor and general let me out. They said I could help people. Make them happy and make them stop fighting.
The general gave me a happy gun that shoot magical red dust that makes people dance and sing. He put me in my sane suit though, so I couldn’t make myself happy with the dust. He say I have a mission to make everyone wearing the other color happy.
I love it so much I can’t help laughing with them! They are so tired from the dancing that they fall over and go to sleep. I wish I could do that. Because of the sane mask, I can’t ask them to wake up or talk to the other happy soldiers on my team. They look at me like am crazy or something when I talk to them.
Maybe they aren’t as happy as I thought. When all the other color is happy, I’ll have to make my friends happy as well.”
Is this seriously just a coincidence? If not, congrats random forum poster, you had a genius idea that was implemented by the company you loved.
I can honestly say this terrified me. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but it sure as hell wasn’t that. And this wasn’t ‘horror’ like modern movies do (nothing happening, nothing happening, MONSTER!), this was actual horror. That feeling deep in you soul that you should get out of the room, country, or even off the planet.
I bet valve themselves made that post
Also, they are releasing the tool they used to make the Meet the Series, free for anyone that wants it, and announced that if your product does not uses anything made by Valve, you can make money out of it.

If only that was the only thing that stemmed from 4chan. Like it or not, they set pretty much all trends on the internet, good or bad.
Rakuall nailed it — that was far, far, FAR scarier than most horror movies I’ve seen. That was seriously disturbing…
