This Week In Movie Trailers!

thebookoflife-featured

Wow what a week! All I can say is that the internet was a buzz with Guardians of the Galaxy and rightfully so. I’m still contemplating whether or not I want to go see it again in the theater. Chances are if the wife decides to join me, I’ll probably go. Or if anyone cares to send me an invite I’d be happy to tag along. What I didn’t see however was any new trailers playing in front of the movie. *starts to think maybe that’s due to the fact that he writes these posts every week … hmmmmm. Oh well.

Let’s do this.

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Old people having a good time. Yep, I’m sure my parents will be there opening night – not saying that they’re old or anything. (Will I see this? – nope)

The Book of Life

If anything the animation looks quite intriguing. I also was a fan of the slapstick right at the end with the little tune. Not sure it will be successful but I think I’ll root for it. If anything we’ll see plenty of Deviant Artists pumping Day of the Dead stuff out. (Will I see this? – maybe)

A Thousand Times Goodnight

Looks like a gripping tale. I doubt a lot of us ever think of what a professional photographer goes through to get those amazing war pictures. Such as putting their own lives on the line to capture just one moment. Interesting idea for a movie. Plus Jamie Lannister makes an appearance so there’s that. (Will I see this? – rental)

Reclaim

Does anyone else think that John Cusack and Nic Cage are one in the same? I sure am starting to think so. That’s a sad statement considering John Cusack at one point was my hero. Sigh. (Will I see this? – rental)

The Guest

Why do I feel like I’ve seen this already? Is it because it seems like it’s the same premise as the Lucky One, only with a psycho guest instead of an actual good guy… The trailer does a good job selling me on wanting to see it though. (Will I see this? – rental)

The Theory of Everything

Stephen Hawking amazes me, intrigues me, and bewilders me. Love interest and romance aside, this seems like it could very well have some potential. (Will I see this? – yes)

The Penguins of Madagascar

Finally. I think everyone knows who the real stars of Madagascar were and they have earned the spotlight. Let’s hope it’s good. (Will I see this? – yes)

Left Behind

No, I haven’t read the book. Nor do I want to. What I will suggest you do is watch HBO’s series the Leftovers. It’s probably far better than this movie ever will be. That, and need I mention that Nic Cage is the star…? (Will I see this? – rental)

The Remaining

Meh. I’m seriously wondering why some movies get made – but then again I guess the budget for horror/scary movies is slim to none so there’s probably some money to be made. (Will I see this? – nope)

The Expendables 3

I haven’t seen the other two yet. I doubt I probably need to, but I bet it wouldn’t hurt. I’ve been meaning to watch the other two, really. I just can’t seem to get into all these “has been” action heroes getting together for fun. It’s like the rat pack on steroids right? Then again, as I look them up on RT – I would be ignorant if I didn’t notice and make mention that the 2nd one actually garnered a positive rating. (Will I see this? – rental)

Crook

This trailer is a shout out and favor. I doubt I will be doing this very often but who knows. As far as the trailer goes, it seems more like a short movie than a trailer. I highly doubt it will grace the theaters where I live but if I happen to catch it out in the wild I’ll probably give it a look. (Will I see this? – rental if I find it)

What do you guys think about this week’s trailers? Any of them peak your interest? Sound off in the comments below. Yeah, I actually want to hear from you. Any trailers I might’ve missed? Take care and enjoy your movie filled weekend!
