A Selection of Funny Re-Dubbed Movie Scenes
I think it was Jones who did it best in Police Academy. Remember when he used to talk like those ridiculous redubbed old Karate movies? Well that’s where I think all the funny redubbing started….at least the funny redub sounds that were done on purpose.
And where has that evolved to? We see it all the time. On television, in movie mashups. Redubbing has become a huge part of movies and I for one love when a fan uses some great editing to make a certain movie scene look a whole lot different. Either that or when a TV Network is just stupid.
Here is a selection of funny redubbed movie scenes I think you’ll all enjoy.

come on.. redubbing’s been done forever.. i’ve never seen police academy but me and my friends used to do it all the time to dragonball z cartoons..
i meant funny redubbing done on purpose been’s around forever
Perx, you’re a very negative guy. I’m not sure how much I’m liking you so far. Come on buddy. Lighten up.
@ Perx: Also, a guy who hasn’t seen Police Academy and references Dragon Ball Z is not allowed to use the phrase “been around forever”.
Jerky Boys? Wow, that’s just incredible.
I once saw a dubbed-over version of Die Hard where the word ‘motherf*cker’ was replaced with ‘Mr. Falcon’ to hilarious effect.
@ Perx: Well firstly Police Academy came out before DBZ (in 1984). Also DBZ wasn’t on Cartoon Network which is where you probably saw it till the 2000’s… listen to what IcemanD said.
Holy crap! I made the mistake of watching the first one at work (headphones,) and I couldn’t get halfway through before I had to turn it off. I had to try really hard to keep the laughs in.
All of Kung Pao: Enter the Fist is like this
@Dragonchilde – To this day, I still tell people about that ‘Mr. Falcon’ thing, and I watched Die Hard 2 on TV over ten years ago. Best dubbing ever.
Except that Next Generation one. God I love it.
and….. maybe it’s worth mentioning “What’s Up Tiger Lily?” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNTSNiyG8HE&feature=related
Seriously? Jones from Police Academy?
Off the top of my head I can point to “What’s Up, Tiger Lily?” by Woody Allen in 1966 as as early example of this kind of thing.
Hahaha the 300 willow is hilarious. What is this Jerky boys?
Jimmy Kimmel’s best work … I’m f**kings Ben Afflick
