Legitimately Impressive Assassin’s Creed Parkour
Well Ubisoft finally realized that people have been making awesome Assassin’s Creed parkour videos for years now, so they might as well incorporate them into their marketing campaign.
Above is an Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag-inspired run of parkour with a parkourist(?) dressed up as the protagonist, pirate Edward Kenway. I appreciate that while parkour is cool when it’s jumping off stuff, I’m glad that they incorporated a bunch of climbing too, as that’s really what the game is all about. Well, this game is going to be all about pirate ships, but you know what I mean.
There’s some pretty impressive, high-flying stuff here, and you should definitely give the whole thing a watch.
Parkourists are usually called traceur, traceuse for female ones.
Dude puts Ezio to shame and he’s real. As with every time I watch a parkour video I now really wish I could do it. The closest I’ve come was doing conor style stuff in the forest near where my mum lives and I literally nearly died but it was the most fun I’d ever had doing sport type stuff.
I think about half of that could have been cut out. I’m not saying he doesn’t have Mad Skillz, but a lot of it was just running, with a bit of jumping over small objects.
