Harry Potter Yoga in a Brewery? Sure, Why Not

Now that there’s so much hype surrounding “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” a resurgence of Harry Potter enthusiasm has been hitting us, and it’s only going to get better.  While Harry Potter mania will never die, it only helps that a movie which is essential its prequel is coming out in a couple of weeks.  One of the better “experiences” I’ve seen comes in the form of Harry Potter Yoga which is done at a brewery.  That’s correct.   According to Mashable

Isabel Beltran, a model and yoga teacher from Austin, Texas, taught a pretty magical Harry Potter Yoga class at a brewery over the weekend with hopes to make it a regular event.   “Isabel and I were talking about a way to make the class more fun and interactive and boost attendance (average class size is about 10). I was reflecting on Harry Potter because Halloween night is the night his parents died and I thought it would be interesting to do something around Harry Potter, Halloween and death (from our culture’s perspective),” Larkin wrote to Mashable.

“We’re Mexican and celebrate the Day of The Dead. It’s not morbid, but rather a celebration of life (of other’s as well as our own),” Larkin said. “I’m the bigger Harry Potter fan between the two of us and the series (especially the last book) is something that changed my perspective on death. It felt very natural to combine the three to make it timely.”

Larkin exclusively told Mashable that the next Harry Potter Yoga lesson will be Sunday, Nov. 20, with a specific theme of Magical Creatures. For information on attending, click here.

In terms of more detail on the class itself?  Wands are handed out.  Potions are served.  There are Harry Potter themed cookies.  Also, people wear some pretty sweet gear to the class.   I might have to buy me some Quidditch themed socks.   Check out more pics of the class below:
