Fall Guys Crown Clash Event Brings 3 Free-To-Play Games Together

Fall Guys Crown Clash

“Fall Guys” has been popular since its initial launch on Steam and PlayStation, yet it wasn’t until the game recently came to additional systems, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, as well as the Epic Games Store, that the game had its biggest collaboration yet. While players had expected the long-anticipated collaboration to be more of an actual “Fall Guys” collaboration, players of “Rocket League”, “Fortnite”, and “Fall Guys” can redeem rewards just for playing Rounds of “Fall Guys”. Below, we’ve gone into detail on the “Fall Guys” Crown Clash Event, which brought the three free-to-play games together for a heafty amount of rewards in each.

Fall Guys

“Fall Guys” was the most popular product of Mediatonic, a company mostly known for creating and “porting” flash games of popular, pre-existing titles. In the popularity of battle royale titles, “Fall Guys” flipped the concept on its head and threw it through a confetti cannon packed with beans in wacky clothing.

While it’s certainly weird to have mixed three completely different games together for rewards in each, there’s a few factors that tie the games together: Epic Games ownership of the properties, free-to-play elements, and more. “Fall Guys” Crown Clash unites the three games owned by Epic Games, “Rocket League”, “Fall Guys” and “Fortnite”, by combined them all into a single event where you simply play Rounds of “Fall Guys” and each tier unlocks various goods in each game. The “Fall Guys” Crown Clash event brought Epic Games free-to-play titles together for one epic event, but it only lasts until July 11th.

Fall Guys Crown Clash Rewards

The ultimate game to pay attention with the currently ongoing Epic Games mash-up “Fall Guys” event Crown Clash would be “Fall Guys” itself, as that’s the game players need to actually play in order to unlock the rewards for “Fall Guys” and the other two games involved, “Fortnite” and “Rocket League”. While Epic Games hadn’t acquired “Fall Guys” or even Mediatonic directly, Epic Games did purchase Tonic Games Group, which was created by Mediatonic themselves as a sort of parent company to everything under their current umbrella, and more. “Fall Guys” had the most simple rewards compared to the rewards dished out for Rocket League and Fortnite, as the only “Fall Guys” reward was Kudos, which equal a total of 3,800 Kudos. Since Epic Games had taken over “Fall Guys” and the game has changed its currencies since the launch of Season 1 Free For All, Kudos have become the lesser currency and Show-Bucks have become the ultimate currency, as Show-Bucks provide a more deluxe range of items that can be purchased with them. However, as “Fall Guys” has become a new game for a large amount of players, mainly Xbox and Nintendo Switch, the change in currencies doesn’t really affect them and the event brings a hefty amount of free currency to spend in the shop from early on. Rewards for all three games are unlocked through tiers, and the reward for each tier will be given to players upon completing the amount of Rounds necessary, and with the lowest amount of 300 Kudos as an offering, its hard not to play all 100 Rounds for rewards within three Epic Games free-to-play titles.

Rocket League Crown Clash Rewards

More than likely, most players engaged with the event likely cared most about the rewards earned in “Fall Guys” and “Fortnite”, “Rocket League” itself has a large fanbase of players that may have played exclusively for those rewards as well. Epic Games acquired “Rocket League” creator Psyonix in May 2019, and since has a brought a vast amount of changes to the game that include quality of life changes, crossplay and cross progression, as well as additional modes and overall improvements to the game from top to bottom. While “Fortnite” and “Rocket League” have collaborated more than once before, this time with Crown Clash, it marked the first time the three games within the Epic Games name have collaborated on a single event. Rewards for “Rocket League” from the “Fall Guys” Crown Clash event make up the Fallout set which include a Player Banner, a Topper, Wheels, Decal and finally a Boost.

Fortnite Crown Clash Rewards

While players have to play Rounds of “Fall Guys” in order to unlock any rewards in the three games, Epic Games’ original battle royale “Fortnite” may be the one given the most attention, when it comes to rewards as it gives players something more than currency in “Fall Guys” and oither items in “Rocket League”. The “Fortnite” Crown Clash rewards earn players a Spray, Emoticon, Pickaxe, Backbling and Outfit all based around a Chapter 2 character’s newest variant Major Mancake. As with the previous games’ rewards, rewards for “Fortnite” will be earned at the following intervals: 10 Rounds, 20 Rounds, 40 Rounds, 70 Rounds, and finally 100 Rounds.
