Every Fortnite Marvel Secret Skin
The Epic Games battle royale game, “Fortnite”, has had many seasons, and a few chapters to contain them, and even an upcoming comic book to further extent possible collaborations, but since Season 4 Fortnite has had collaborations come more often than not it seems and with those collaborations, almost always comes something in the form of a Marvel franchise, such as characters that compose the so-called “secret skin” some seasons. Although Fortnite had several collaborations before the secret skin became a common theme to accept added into each season’s battle pass but Marvel, outside of Epic Games’ own creations, have occupied most of the secret skins throughout Fortnite’s history. Most impressively from the company recently, and until the first week of April Epic Games and Xbox have donated millions of dollars to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Below, we’ve gone into the history of every Fortnite Marvel secret skin, as well as what else was included in those seasons to reflect how much the game truly changes every season.
Fortnite Marvel Secret Skins
Deadpool – Chapter 2 Season 2
While Deadpool wasn’t the first secret skin, the character was certainly the first truly interesting one, and was Marvel’s first, as it not only included everyone’s favorite Merc With a Mouth but also included some really cool map changes and updates that revolved around the most well-known attributes of the violent, comedic character. Previous secret skins before Deadpool however, were all Fortnite-created characters such as The Visitor, The Prisoner, and The Scientist, among others.
Wolverine – Nexus War – Chapter 2 Season 4
Wolverine was the only other skin after Deadpool to be considered a Marvel secret skin but came two seasons after Deadpool and while everything in the battle pass during the Nexus War season was Marvel, making Wolverine the secret skin was a smart idea as fans wanted the character above most others, was actually pivotal to the story and required a bit of work in order to unlock the skin and all of its additional styles and cosmetics. While Wolverine was the final Marvel skin classified as a secret skin, Fortnite Marvel collaborations themselves never slowed down as the current season and season before it was prominent with Marvel cosmetics.
Fortnite Marvel Bonus Skins and Fortnite Crew
Now when it comes to Marvel bonus skins, due to the fact that secret skins have faded out to become skins that are known to the players upon a new season but can’t actually be acquired until some time into the season has passed, there has only been one in the form of a Marvel character and that was Venom offspring Carnage. However, on top of secret skins and bonus skins, since the inclusion of Fortnite Crew, more Marvel skins have also been accessible to players outside of the items shop, battle pass and secret or bonus skins comes with the special limited and one of a kind skins that can be acquired through the subscription service that rewards players with a skin, cosmetics, and 1,000 V-bucks every month. Unfortunately, so far the only Marvel skin to be included in this way was the Loki skin and cosmetics.
Prowler
The current season of Fortnite, which launched with and currently has no building, has revealed, but not yet released, the secret skin this time around and followed the most common theme of Fortnite including a Marvel-themed skin as the bonus skin for a season. While the previous season didn’t include a Marvel secret skin, Spider-Man was instead the last skin included in the battle pass specifically with additional styles unlockable with progression so although it didn’t feature a Marvel secret skin, it still include a Marvel character with their own emotes and cosmetics. Perhaps the reason for this was the inclusion of Spider-Man-themed items around the map, in order to make the character more included with the battle pass. As last season featured a long-hyped, playable Fortnite character as the bonus skin, it’s no surprise that the Epic Games battle royale decided to go with another Marvel character this season as the bonus skin.
Other Fortnite Secret Skins
While Fortnite included Deadpool and Wolverine as secret skins, Prowler as a bonus skin the same season Dr. Strange was also included in the core battle pass, and other Marvel characters there have also been DC Comics and original characters included as secret skins, bonus skins, battle pass rewards, and item shop specific items, Fortnite has had many collaborations in and out of the battle pass to include in the game, regardless of how they enter it. According to databases, no skin has been classified as a secret skin since the twelfth secret skin, Predator from the franchise of the same name, but Predator was a grand farewell to secret skins as the character was found defending a part of the island with camouflage technology and aggressive movements and attacks, much like the Predator was presented in its own media. Between the seasons that housed Deadpool and Wolverine came a DC Comics secret skin by the form of Aquaman, which was modeled after Jason Momoa, current live-action Aquaman actor. Every other Fortnite secret skin outside of the Marvel and DC Comics-themed few were all pure products of Epic Games and Fortnite and usually alluded to the lore or story of the island to some extent.
