Calvin and Hobbes Meets Batman and Spider-Man

Hah, well this is clever. Artist Timothy Lim has essentially redrawn two famous Calvin and Hobbes strips by Bill Watterson to be about Spider-Man and Batman respectively.

As I’ve read every Calvin and Hobbes strip probably a dozen times each (still got every anthology in my parent’s house somewhere), I remember the original two strips these were based on. Timothy has done a great job emulating the style of Watterson while making the superhero comparison work. Would love to see more in this series.

Check out the Batman variant below:

  1. LIGHTSABER! Shark-riding Batman is supposed to have a lightsaber! I love that Bats is drawn (and written) Frank Miller style too. That Spidey one pretty much crams every terrible moment into one strip. Nice.
