A Lovely LEGO Smaug Gets His Hoard On

Remember that Jawa cake guy from yesterday? You know, the post that’s like two down from this one? Well, those cakes were designed by his wife, but this guy has some nerd talent of his own.

He custom built a LEGO version of The Hobbit’s Smaug which you can see above and below. The dragon is fully┬ámovable, but my favorite pose is him sleeping on his precious treasure. But I guess the guy, Fat Tony, cheated when making that part of it:

“I have to be honest about the treasure, most of it is gold foil I got from a craft store. I used real LEGO coins to make imprints into the foil and then draped it around a LEGO base. Then I spread the real stuff around, pretty convincing, huh?”
