A Magnificent Mirror’s Edge Photoshoot

Alright, so I promised you SOME good cosplay today, and after that Firefly disaster from earlier, I’m going to deliver.

Mirror’s Edge was one of the more interesting games I’ve played in the last few years. A first person platformer doesn’t seem like an inherently effective concept, but much of the game was quite good, and I liked the uniqueness of its titular hero, Faith.

What you see here is some expert cosplay of the young freerunner. It comes from photographer Benny Lee, and his model is Chryss. The costume is obviously dead on, but it’s the background and set pieces that really make this shoot awesome, as it looks like screenshots from the game simply converted into real life, not an easy feat.

Check out the rest of the excellent shoot below.

  1. Seriously thought that the 1st one was official concept art before I read the headline. Amazing, really enjoyed ME.

Also, the sequel isn’t effectively cancelled, the franchise has been put on hold after EA rejected DICE’s pitch, but they are looking for ways to continue the franchise.

  2. I Love this game!!!!!

Although i cant stand her face, its the same in everyone i feel like it doesnt give faith justice. I hope the sequel pulls through though!

  3. i loved that game even tough it could be frustrating at times. I completed it something like 4 times.

What i’d love to see in a sequel would be more of the normal missions a runner might get instead of an over arching conspiracy plot. The kicker would be that i would set it in a GTA open city and it’s up to you to decide how to deliver the package in a time limit. Run along the ground and it’s fast and safe from falls, but there are cops everywhere, or take to the rooftops where you need greater skill to keep moving fast, but no-ones shooting at you. It’d be a an awesome multiplayer, racing people across the city.
