Whedon’s Kranz and Acker Making a Settlers of Catan Movie
If you’re like me and finally got a chance to see Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing in the past week or two, you were probably pretty impressed with the performances of Dollhouse alumni Fran Kranz and Amy Acker. Well, awesome news alert, they’re starting in another movie together. About Settlers of Catan.
It’s called The Lord of Catan, and is said to feature an “apocalyptic” scenario involving the game, though I’m not quite sure what that means. A short teaser for the movie is above, and I never thought there was much of a debate on how it was pronounced. It’s Ca-TAN right? Not Ca-TOHN.
Anyway, the film is shot, but there’s a Kickstarter raising money for a post-production budget or something. Head here to support it as it’s really damn close to its goal.
And yeah, I should probably play this game someday, but that would require me living within 800 miles of any of my friends.
