The Top Five Anticipated PS4 Games Coming Out

2017 is set to be a big year for PS4 gamers around the world. Not only will the already stellar gaming system get several software updates that will improve stability and add features, but there are a plethora of anticipated games that are set to be released in the coming weeks and months. In fact, there are so many that this list won’t quite do it justice, but I’ll try.

Here are five of the most anticipated PS4 games coming out this year.

5. South Park: The Fractured But Whole. (Release Date: October 17, 2017)

Quick fact: The initial title for this game was “South Park: The Butthole of Time” but creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker were informed that retailers wouldn’t place a title with the word “butthole” on their shelves. That lead Parker to hours of figuring out how he could sneak the phrase in without upsetting retailers… Hence “The Fractured Butt Whole” was born. Originally slated to be released December 6, 2016, the date of “South Park: The Fractured But Whole” has officially been pushed back. I absolutely loved the first South Park role playing game “South Park: The Stick of Truth.” Critics agreed, the title racked up rave reviews including a 9/10 from IGN. This game picks right up where the last story left off. Expect outstanding writing, great gameplay, and more than a few inside jokes from this one.

4. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite (Release Date: September 19, 2017)

Finally, we’re getting Mega Man X in a Marvel vs Capcom game. We’re also getting Captain Marvel and Iron Man in this edition also. Hopefully, we will get some new editions also, but if not I’m sure the fans that are eagerly waiting will be more than satisfied. Marvel vs Capcom has never disappointed, and I don’t expect them to start now.

3. Middle-earth: Shadow of War. (Release Date: August 22, 2017)

“Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor” caught gamers by surprise in 2014. The sleeper hit instantly found a raving fan base and garnered critical acclaim from the likes of such authoritative publications as IGN, PC Gamer, and Game Informer to name a few. It also won “Game of The Year” at the Game Developers Choice Awards, so it’s no surprise that the follow up “Middle-earth: Shadow of War” is highly anticipated. Expect this game to be a supercharged version of the first title.

2. Destiny 2 (September 8, 2017)

The sequel to the biggest shooter on PS4 has gamers everywhere biting their fingernails in anticipation. Expect the same level of intense gameplay from this title, but with a more detailed and engaging storyline. I personally can’t wait to lock myself in my room for a month with this title.

1. Call of Duty WW2. (Release Date: November 3, 2017)

This addition to the Call of Duty franchise will introduce a new multiplayer version and a fresh zombie mode. But the thing that has this game ranked as one of the most highly anticipated PS4 titles of 2017 is the setting… Us COD fans have been clamoring for the franchise to return to WW2 for years… They’ve finally made our dreams come true…
