Novelty Hoodies Continue to Perplex Me
I’m as much a fan of geek fashion as the next guy, but there’s one trend that continues to elude me, full-zip character hoodies. This is a $60 hoodie from where else, Hot Topic, that allows you to be Wolverine. If he was blind. And had terrible fashion sense.
So really, it’s a joke piece of clothing, as to convey the joke, you have to put the hood up and zip it up so you can’t see. Most of these don’t have mouth holes, and the design here is at least more clever than those. But to pay $60 for a hoodie where you can only convey the joke for a few seconds at a time? The rest of the time it just looks like an ugly confusing sweatshirt.
I fully understand I’m reading far too much into these hoodies. I’ll stop now.
That looks like a Wolverine/Nite Owl mashup, with Santa’s belt thrown on for a festive holiday look. Hideous.
weren’t you the one that ordered the assassin’s creed hoody?
to be fair, I think the AC hoodies are more akin to a movie prop, because the few i’ve seen were based off of Desmond’s hoodie. These. . . these are just a bad idea wrapped up in a liquor induced business pitch where one guy owed another guy a favor so he had to say yes or certain pictures would be released onto the internet.
This hoodie is pretty funny looking. Something you’d see at a comic book convention. Has anyone seen those light up hoodies? nitelifetshirts.com/nl-el-wire/light-up-hoodie/
They are very silly in my opinion, but you can see in them. They have mesh where the eyes are that you cant see into but can see out. And they were originally done for halloween only. I guess for simple costumes.
