That Guy Actor of the Week: Joseph C. Phillips

Let’s give it up for Joseph C. Phillips.  You will not find a more handsome and gentlemen like African American actor in the 80s than this guy (with the exception of Denzel Washington).  I think the only problem with Phillips is that he simply wasn’t that great an actor.

And don’t get me wrong.  He’s still around.  Hell he’s playing a security guard on The Event which is what reminded me to put him on here in the first place.   Still though, I’ll never forget him on The Cosby Show and even better Strictly Business where he played commercial real estate yuppie Wayman Tisdale III.

He’s only for 37 titles to his name but I’m hoping we see more of Joseph in the future.  Catch a clip from Strictly Business

Man I loved this movie.
