Destiny Mobile Game Coming

Destiny mobile game coming

Bungie, the original creator of the “Halo” franchise before it was handed to 343 Industries, has always been a video game developer that fans have always trusted to the point of all news regarding the game has been critically received and highly anticipated. While “Halo” was a unique experience, Bungie’s first project after “Halo”, “Destiny” took what players loved about Halo, flipped it on its head, and threw it into what reflects a somewhat dystopian future altered by the power of Light and creating a war between forces of good and evil. Overall, “Destiny” was a game that reflected pretty much everything “Halo” had the potential to be but without recreating a whole new way to play it and so the uniquely gifted warriors of The Light were born and “Destiny” was created. Below, we’ve gone into detail on a rumored “Destiny” mobile game that’s apparently coming, as well as the possibilities of what such a title could be like, and more about what’s expected to come to “Destiny”.

Bungie

Bungie may have launched in 1991, and it wasn’t until 2001 that the video developer released their first Halo game but before their first huge hit with “Halo”, Bungie created several games that had their own force of momentum behind them such as the “Myth” series, “Minotaur: The Labyrinths of Crete”, the “Marathon” series, and many others before the year 2000 even hit. Although much of them were released for Mac OS at launch, before getting ported elsewhere for other systems, “Halo: Combat Evolved” was released exclusively with Microsoft after their acquisition of “Halo”, in order to bring the game to Xbox and Windows. While Bungie created new “Halo” games up until “Halo: Reach”, the company separated from Xbox and earned them the rights to the franchise, which led to Bungie’s most active creation to date with “Destiny”.

Destiny

As a live service, Bungie has updated “Destiny” constantly, which has brought a sequel that only brought the explorable worlds to a newer experience on next-gen consoles. “Destiny” was an online-only multiplayer FPS, published by Activision until Bungie split from the publisher in 2019 to become independent, and while the story of “Destiny” has been carried into “Destiny 2”, the original “Destiny” can still be accessed to view gear, stats, progression, and other information. On top of the incredible narrative storytelling that has enfolded throughout the campaign of “Destiny”, the game has also provided a strong PVP experience for those that are into multiplayer PVP modes such as Team Deathmatch. Outside of the traditional PVE story mode that propels players through an immersive narrative, players can also repeat boss fights, or Raids, for increased reward odds and many other treasures as well that give players a reason to truly grind “Destiny”. If the rumored “Destiny” mobile game coming actually ends up in the player’s hands, in possible that it could be a port of the original “Destiny”, in order to keep the game light on devices, at least at first, but we’ll have to wait to know.

Destiny 2

Generally, “Destiny 2” was the same game as “Destiny” at its core, but from the core, the game was something entirely unique and fresh, compared to the state that Destiny was in at the end of its content. “Destiny” content has made its way to Destiny 2 in a rotating fashion so as to not keep so much content within one game on player’s consoles and PCs, but as it rotates various different Raids and Strikes, it is near impossible for players to get excited when their favorite content from “Destiny” was playable in “Destiny 2”. While it’s unlikely that Bungie could be creating “Destiny 3” for mobile devices first, it could be a different genre entirely or perhaps take the same road as Diablo Immortal and be a nearly fully functional version of “Destiny” but built for mobile and slimmed down for practicality. Interestingly, after Bungie separated from Activision and released the Shadowkeep expansion, Destiny 2 went free-to-play, as well as a battle pass. Overall, “Destiny 2” expanded the original “Destiny” story so it’s likely that the trend will continue with console and PC releases for new main entries but as Bungie has partnered with a mobile game developer for this coming Destiny mobile game, who knows what it could look like.

The rumor that “Destiny” was working on a mobile game was also released with the information that the developer had started a partnership with NetEase, a company known for “Dead By Daylight Mobile” and a dozen other international mobile titles. The “Destiny” mobile game coming has been labeled as a first-person shooter so while it won’t be a main entry in the “Destiny” series, it will be a standalone title within the franchise, as Bungie looks to expand their Destiny Universe after their acquisition by Sony. In addition to the mobile standalone title and the upcoming content for “Destiny 2” for the foreseeable future, Bungie apparently has another IP in the works but even less information is available regarding that title over the mobile “Destiny” game coming.
