A Gallery of Art Nouveau Movie Posters and Such

People say that my job isn’t usually focused on “high brow culture.” So what if I gave Fast Five four stars? It was awesome, and you can go to hell.

Anyway, in an effort to become a little bit more cultured, I’ve found this collection of “art nouveau” posters, which I believe is French for “art with lots of swirly lines in it.” Or something close to that.

They are rather cool, I must admit, and if you can find any of them for purchase (I couldn’t), it could be a nice way to express your love of movies in your fancy house while pretending to be uber-cultured at the same time.

Check out the rest below:

  1. Pretty neat. The Pan’s Labyrinth one is my favorite of the bunch. Only complaint is they somehow made Chun Li and Natalie Portman look bad.

  2. Last year, when I visited Europe, I saw a lot of Art Noveau exhibitions, but the one that was the most eye-catching was by an artist called Mucha. The Street fighter and Last daughter of Alderaan posters remind me of his works very much. Great collection!
