12 Angry GIFs
This is going to be a combined gallery post/movie recommendation, as I can’t talk about 12 Angry Men without highly suggesting that all of you watch it. I understand that it can be hard to get into older black and white films, as they seem world’s removed from the types of films out now. Add on the fact that the entire movie takes place in one room and is nothing but talking, and it’s a hard sell.
But 12 Angry Men demonstrates the power of good dialogue and a fantastic script. There are only a few movies that can keep me on the edge of my seat with talking alone. Oliver Stone’s JFK, Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network and Sidney Lumet’s 12 Angry Men. A lone juror is tasked with convincing 11 others than a young man is innocent of a crime as they deliberate behind closed doors.
The gallery below is from a fan who decided to make minimalist GIFs of the men from the film, resulting in some rather fantastic facial expressions. Check out the rest of it below, and watch the film as soon as you’re able.
I’m probably the only person that’s bothered that they’re not in order by Juror #
This movie truly showcases acting abilities.
I know you said these were made by a “fan”, but please give full credit to the original creator rather than just mention a fan made them. These were posted on Reddit by user FaerieStories. Here is a link to the submission dated 2 days before this post. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/xccdo/any_12_angry_men_fans_ive_made_a_minimalist_gif/
Nitpick: the juror isn’t convincing the others that the boy is innocent, but that there exists reasonable doubt.
