Contra LittleBigPlanet

Published by Madison under Video Games

I’ve seen some very cool LittleBigPlanet levels before, but this Contra one may take the cake.  It’s not just the first level - it’s the whole freaking game, including the 3-D levels.  I can’t imagine this was easy to make, and it looks like all the hard work paid off.  For more details on how this level was made, you can visit Neogaf.

The Final Countdown: Ads to Scare Children, Will Ferrell’s Bush Show, and Death to Hasbro

Published by Nattyb under Final Countdown

Pasta

For the life of me, I’ll never understand teletubbies.  And honestly it has nothing to do with the article I just read on ads that would traumatize children.  But I guess I’m just thinking about stuff that children should be really scared of but aren’t.  Well if these kids don’t freak out from these commercials, then God help their parents.

Watchmen Flickr Page is Full of Photoshop Fun

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies, Oddly Enough

If you have a moment today, I highly suggest you browse through the offiical Watchmen Flickr stream. It’s got all sorts of fun bits and pieces of the viral ad campaign on there including Veidt Industries magazine ads, FBI wanted posters and of course, the Vietnemese letter of surrender.

I really want this African Famine Relief poster for my room. I bet this is what Bono thinks he looks like.

Eddie Murphy to Play Richard Pryor? Questionable

Published by Paul Tassi under Movies, News

pryor.jpg

This is kind of…weird. Eddie Murphy is reported to be playing the late Richard Pryor in Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said? which is being shot by Murphy’s Dreamgirls pal, Bill Condon.

Isn’t this, just, you know, strange? Like the black comedy icon of the 80s playing the black comedy icon of the 70s? It’s not going to be like seeing Pryor up there, but not really Murphy either. It’s going to be some bizarre amalgam that’s probably just going to weird me out.

In other comedy biopic news, Chris Rock has been cast to play Eddie Murphy in an upcoming 2012 release while Dave Chappelle will play Chris Rock in a film stated for 2016.

Mr. Show - The Audition

Published by Madison under Television

Speaking of auditions, here’s a hilarious clip from Mr. Show.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Mr. Show clip that didn’t make me at least chuckle.  David Cross needs to do sketch comedy again; Mr. Show was one of the best.  Seriously, can I use it?

10 Awesome Fanmade World of Warcraft Music Videos

Published by Nattyb under Lists, Video Games

WoW

I am personally not a World of Warcraft player.  And God forbid I ever get addicted to this game/hopeful virtual reality for some people, I hope I can be as humorous about it as they.  At least I’d like to think these people have a good sense of humor.

I guess when you are playing the game for nearly 24 hours a day, ideas pop in and out of one’s head.  For some reason people decided to make music videos out of the WoW characters.  And these videos are definitely not works of amateurs.  You can tell that lots of timewent into these.

While I think there are many better ways to spend one’s time, I’m still very grateful for these 10 videos.  They are entertaining to say the least.

10 Exceptionally Inappropriate Pokemon Videos

Published by Paul Tassi under Lists, Television, Video Games

I grew up watching Pokemon, but little did I know all the dirtiness that had been cut out or subliminal slipped through into each of the episodes. It took some work, but here are ten pretty WTF Pokemon videos that will have you questioning it’s classification as a kids show. Enjoy:

8 Great Celebrity Audition Tapes

Published by Madison under Movies

 meganfoxtransformers2.jpg

They may be uber famous now and able to get any role they desire,  but at one point, celebrities had to read for roles just like everyone else.  Watching the audition tape of an actor or actress is usually fun, as you get to see their take on the character before it’s polished and fully realized.  I found eight great celebrity audition tapes, and you can view them all after the jump:

Morning Link: Spiderman Musical Set for 2010

Published by Nattyb under Morning Link

Spider

Did I tell you or did I tell you?  Is this not the worst news you’ve heard in the history of Spiderman?  I mean what the hell is going on here?

Sure it would look cool watching Spidey weave all around the stage and audience.  But we have to hear this guy sing?  Is he going to sing with his enemies?  What the hell is supposed to happen during a fight scene?  Everyone just stops and dances in unison?

I’m very afraid of this.  Read the full article if you must.
