When Pacific Rim Meets Power Rangers

I think Pacific Rim succeeded in part because it tapped into a part of our childhoods that has mostly been forgotten about in pop culture. Whether it was Power Ranger, Voltron or VR Troopers in our youth, or animes like Gundam when we got older, there’s just something about people fighting monsters in robot suits that is forever going to amaze the child in us.

That’s why seeing Pacific Rim remixed into the Power Rangers intro is so awesome. I love the editing, and that song brought back a wave of nostalgia so great, I almost burst into tears. Not really, but it was still cool.
