This Week In Movie Trailers!
Hey there Unrealtors, how goes your week!? Anyone take a break from playing Destiny yet? I know it’s hard for some to pull themselves away from it **cough – Paul! – cough** and yet, my sorry butt hasn’t even played a minute of it. It’s not for lack of wanting to. I guess I’ll just browse the interwebs for more movie trailers to present to the readers. Speaking of trailers, this week was a big one for a particular film that many have been eagerly waiting for…I wonder what film that could be?
Let’s do this.
Men, Women & Children (International Trailer)
I wasn’t going to post this one originally, but this trailer is tremendously different from the domestic one. Therefore I sought it fit to be displayed for all to see. It also changed my mind (at least a little) about the film. It still reminds me of Disconnect and is probably more depressing than I would like it to be. (Will I see this? – rental)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1
Oh look another trailer that reveals far too much for the general audience. I’m sure those who have read the books will be even more excited now, but for those who haven’t – too much might’ve been shown. (anyone care to comment? I’ve read the books so I’m only one sided here) The movie does look great though and I’m sure it will play out in epic fashion. (Will I see this? – yes)
A Most Violent Year
This guy could totally be the Godfather’s son – am I right!? Regardless, it looks intense even though I have no bloody clue what it’s about! Says something about the trailer at least. (Will I see this? – maybe)
The Liberator
I’ll admit I know nothing about this man, but that’s all the more reason for me to want to watch this. I’m just not sure if it’s worthy of a theater viewing. (Will I see this? – rental)
Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends
It seems that Japanese films and culture are popular on this site, so why not include a trailer for an up and coming Japanese film? My only major gripe with this is the music that starts to play half way into the trailer … yikes. (Will I see this? – nope)
The Judge (trailer #2)
I personally think Robert Downey is acting in strides now. The guy can do no wrong but apparently the film isn’t going over well with critics. Despite what they have to say about it – I think it looks pretty great. (Will I see this? – yes)
The Houses October Built
Clowns … no, scary clowns are my undoing. Those things just creep me the hell out. There is no way I even made it through half of this trailer before I stopped it. Everyone has their thing – mine = clowns. (Will I see this? – big NOPE)
Listen Up Philip
Alright so creative people all have their quirks. Whether you’re a writer, artist or musician it doesn’t matter – you probably have a quirk. I’m not sure if this trailer is implying that or not, but it looks like a decent lazy Sunday film. (Will I see this? – rental)
Effie Gray
Please don’t take offense to this, but these kind of films just bore me to death. I’m sure that there is stellar writing, and probably impeccable acting within the film, but it just looks dreadfully boring. To each their own, right? (Will I see this? – nope)
John Wick
We’ve all seen how these movies play out and yet Hollywood keeps making them. Why? Well because they’re fun and who doesn’t like watching a BA guy take down some criminals? I’m all for Keanu going out and kicking some ass again … reminds me a lot of Man on Fire and Taken blended into one. (Will I see this? – yes)
So this was a productive week in movie trailers it seems. There were more than 2 films that I’d like to actually watch in the theater, which here lately is better than average! Let’s hope this trend is on an upswing.
What do you guys think about this week’s trailers? Any of them peak your interest? Sound off in the comments below. Yeah, I actually want to hear from you. Any trailers I might’ve missed? Take care and enjoy your movie filled weekend!
