When I first heard that this Ninja Turtles poster had been banned because of its resemblance of certain horrible events of 9/11, I sort of understood. Even though it’s Michael Bay tradition for something to be exploding somewhere on a poster, the top of the building as people (or turtles) plunge downward isn’t exactly the best image to conjure up.
And then I saw the release date.
Oh COME ON! No one caught that before this was shipped out?

Call me insensitive but this poster was for the Australian release. 9/11 didn’t happen there so I don’t really see why they couldn’t use it. Sure it probably was a mistake but I don’t see the big deal.
Problem is, as someone else put it, that in the internet age just about everything is effectively international.
