New Febreze Commercial Reminds Me of Seinfeld

Do any of you guys remember that episode of Seinfeld called “The Beast?” It was the episode where Jerry gets his car from a restaurant valet and the stench this guy left in the car was utterly unbearable. I mean we’re talking this thing stayed in the car permanently.

Febreze does a fun test here by taking some dirty laundry (to put it nicely), leaving it in a car and then seeing what the magic Febreze strips do to the odor. If only Jerry had the Febreze Car! Man oh man. I may have to get this stuff for my car.

  1. As you can plainly see from the photo that you yourself uploaded with the blurb, it’s spelled FEbreze. With an ‘e’ after the F, not an ‘a’.

  2. Unfortunately Febreze doesn’t usually remove the smell so much as keep you from being able to smell (anything) through the use of 1,4-Dichlorobenzene (1,4,-DCB). It basically causes some “short-term non-permanent damage” to the receptors in your nose to fool you into not being able to smell the offending odor.

There have been no formal studies, but the chemical is anticipated to be a carcinogen.
