Move Over Godzilla, Guardians of the Galaxy Now Leading the Hype Train
Godzilla has come and gone, and it was perfectly good and made about a zillion dollars worldwide in its first weekend. It was my most anticipated movie of the summer, and though perhaps it didn’t quite live up to that honor, I wouldn’t say it disappointed either.
But now? Time to move on. Even though the new X-Men movie comes out this weekend, I’m more looking forward to Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy after a second new trailer has outdone the first one in every way. The film looked good in the first spot, but I like this new one way, way more.
Watch for yourself and see what I mean. I love how Marvel is confident enough to sink $200M into a movie like this full of characters (almost) no one has ever heard of. And I hope it makes Chris Pratt the international superstar he deserves to be.
