If Star Wars was a Spaghetti Western

Alright, I’ve been wanting to know this for quite some time, so I actually looked up why these types of films are referred to as “spaghetti” Westerns. Ta-da:

“Spaghetti Western, also known as Italo-Western, is a nickname for a broad sub-genre of Western films that emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone’s unique and much copied film-making style and international box-office success, so named by American critics because most were produced and directed by Italians.”

I thought it was because they were really bloody, like spaghetti sauce. I wish I was kidding.

Anyway, Timothy Anderson has designed this series of posters to re-render Star Wars in that Leone/Spaghetti style. Check out the other two below:
