If “Ready Player One” Were More Realistic (Comic)
Steven Spielberg has done it again, with the upcoming release of his latest about to be blockbuster film “Ready Player One”. “Ready Player One” takes us into the future to the year 2045, and an alternate universe that can be had, which is called the Oasis. While there are many people who long for some type of alternate universe that they can escape to in our society today, the movie and the story line do seem a bit unrealistic. However, we have found a clever comic strip that would let us know what it might be like if “Ready Player One” had a bit more of a realistic tone, but you can see it for yourself and be the judge:
Obviously, the comic is a little bit more grotesque than what the actual film will be, but it is pretty hilarious. This comic strip identifies an “alternate universe type Oasis” in which some of the gaming characters that we have come to love are now in our world as well. However, not everything is what it seems, as we see a pregnant Sonic featured, as well as other oddities about some of our beloved characters that we know and have a familiarity with. The comic strip also takes a dig at the fact that the Oasis (from the film) makes so many ’80s references, when, in reality, there would be so much more than just references at hand.
Obviously, this is just the mind workings of a fan who is trying to poke a little fun at the soon to be block buster hit. However, we do find it to be quite hilarious and reality inducing. You can find more comic strips about some of your favorite entertainment outlets all across social media, and don’t forget to see “Ready Player One” for yourself.
