The first true “cosplay” costume I ever attempted was for Halloween my sophomore year of college. I thought it would be pretty badass to dress up as Ash from Evil Dead. Two problems with that.

A) I was scrawny (still am)

B) No one would get the reference

And no one did, and I was super bummed. Perhaps if I can dig up those pictures, you’ll see it some day.

If only I was a hot girl who could do it and gain the affection of the entire internet. Seriously, this shit amazing. Look how awesome that is.

I think I'm a part of the first generation of journalists to skip print media entirely, and I've learned a lot these last few years at Forbes. My work has appeared on TVOvermind, IGN, and most importantly, a segment on The Colbert Report at one point.
