Glitch Hall of Fame Gallery: Bethesda Edition

When it was recently announced that Bethesda was making an Elder Scrolls MMO everyone just sort of laughed. Not that all MMOs are bad, or that Bethesda doesn’t make good games, it’s just common knowledge that with any of their titles come certain…technical difficulties.

No one knows how to glitch quite like Bethesda. Clipping, textures, physics, everything is fair game when it comes to what can go wrong in one of their titles. They make great games, but if their single player games are filled with this many bugs, imagine what it would be like if they tried to make an MMO? Good grief.

The gallery below is an assembled collection of still frame glitches from Skyrim, Fallout and Oblivion. I could have have gone further back, but it was harder to take screenshots back then, so there’s less to choose from. You’ll see the hilarious, terrifying, and everything in between. When the MMO is release, I’m sure I’ll have enough new pictures by the end of the first week to make a whole new gallery.

  1. I fought two dragons at once, on atleast six different occasions in the game. It was so odd, I contacted Bethesda themselves and even they admitted that had happened maybe once or twice to testers. In w way, I felt special.

  2. Just thought I’d point out that The Elder Scrolls Online isn’t being developed by Bethesda. It’s being developed by Zenimax Online Studios. Not sure what else they’ve made (if anything), but I know they aren’t Bethesda. So there may or may not be Bethesda-huge glitches.

  3. You do realize that a lot of those glitches are missing meshes and incompatibility of mods with the pc versions, so you cant really blame bethesda for that anyway. Most of the other glitches are common in almost any game so idk why everyone dogs on bethesda about it lol.

  4. New Vegas wasn’t made by Bethesda, it was made by the even more glitchtacular developer Obsidian.

Anywho, I noticed, as did someone else, a lot of these were obviously the result of incorrectly installed or incompatible mods.
