The Evolution of Freddy Krueger (Infographic)
Halloween is fast-approaching, and if you haven’t already started a horror movie binge-watch, now is the time. While there are a ton of scary movie options out there, one that should be on anyone’s annual Halloween viewing needs to be A Nightmare on Elm Street. When it comes to slasher films, A Nightmare on Elm Street is up there with the likes of Halloween and Friday the 13th as a pioneer of the genre. What sets it apart from those franchises is that it has a villain in Freddy Krueger that talks to his victims while terrorizing them. Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees may have the size advantage, but Freddy is able to get into his victims’ heads and turn their dreams into nightmares. That can prove to be a lot more effective than towering over someone and slowly walking after them as they run away.
