Dave Rapoza’s Dark Souls

Dave Rapoza’s love for pop culture extends beyond Masters of the Universe and Ninja Turtles, and he’s decided to do something more current with a few characters from Dark Souls on PS3.

Now, I haven’t played this game yet, nor its predecessor Demon’s Souls, so I don’t know if the characters featured here are good guys, bad guys or somewhere in between. If I had to guess, I’d say they’re all pretty evil, and none I would want to meet in a dark castle corridor.

  1. Awesome! I just started playing this game. The difficulty is ungodly but each small victory just feels that much more awesome when you achieve it. You’re undead so the second two guys could be good guys. Not sure about the first guy, he’s on the title screen though.

  3. I believe in reincarnation. The spiritual successor (read ‘sequel’ in all but name) to the 2009 Playstation
    3 sleeper hit Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls looks to offer a similar experience to its predecessor from initial viewings. And that is where the chief disappointment lies, the multiplayer is very laggy.
