Zane Wylie: The Man Who Turns Human Skulls into Art


You know when you were in elementary school and it was career day?  When they asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up you more than likely said something like “doctor, lawyer, President of the Unites States” or something to that effect.   Do you think any kids said “I want to take human skulls and carve them up to make art.”  Pretty sure if a teacher heard that one, that student would have been sent to the principals office for evaluation pretty quickly.   While we don’t know if Zane Wylie always had a lifelong dream of carving human skulls for art, it’s something he’s passionate about and very good at.

Zane Wylie has dozens of human skulls in his home.  He spends his time carving the bones, and turning them into interesting designs so he can sell them online for thousands. His art is complex and kind of creepy, but there are people out there who seem to enjoy it, because well, there are a lot of weirdos out there.
