The Alphabet of Video Game Icons

OK, so it’s not the most badass alphabet ever, but it’s still pretty cool.  This comes from artist Francis Acupan (good work signing your name unlike all these other guys), and it uses various video game icons and items to craft an alphabet that I would totally use as a font if I had the chance.

If you want to know what all the icons are, you can click to enlarge the picture which has helpful descriptions, but it’s more fun to guess them from here. My favorite has to be the Mutalisk for “J.” I think the X-Wing is kind of cheating, but I’ll allow it.

I think I'm a part of the first generation of journalists to skip print media entirely, and I've learned a lot these last few years at Forbes. My work has appeared on TVOvermind, IGN, and most importantly, a segment on The Colbert Report at one point.
