Sydrome and Mirage Come to Life

This hasn’t happened yet, but mark my words, it will. Someday Hollywood will run out of comic books and board games to make movies out of, and they’ll turn to our classic animated films to convert them into live action features.

No Disney or Pixar project will be spared, and I’d say by 2020, we’ll have a real life Incredibles on our hands.

And who to play the parts? Well the core family is anyone’s guess, but according to artist Darya Kuznetsova, it’s going to be Jack Black and Dollhouse’s Dichen Lachman as Syndrome and Mirage. Perfect casting if you ask me, and I’d love to see her thoughts on the rest of the cast as well.

  1. Nah, won’t happen, the whole point of CGI films is that they can do stuff that’s either impossible or really expensive in live action. They, could, but it wouldn’t really make any money, and it’s not like Toy Story or the Incredibles is that well loved.

  2. I don’t think it will take that long. Disney’s already made a live action remake of 101 Dalmations, and Alice in Wonderland. I’ve read Cinderella isn’t far behind.

  3. Patrick Warburton as Mr. Incredible
Chris Rock might make a desent Frozone
    Alyson Hannigan as Elastigirl
    Seth Rogan to play Syndrome

As for the kids. New talent would be the best route.

  4. Rbourn is a troll, obviously, because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

To say that Toy Story is not well loved? I guess that’s why they made three Toy Story movies and countless money from not only the movie revenues but toys (including video games) based off the movie’s characters.

The Incredibles wasn’t as huge of a hit as Toy Story, but it was still an excellent movie that many fans still enjoy. I’ve been wanting to see a sequel for years.

I wouldn’t be so keen on a live action adaptation though. It would be something I’d want to see since the characters and the style are perfect for animation.
